We are pleased to announce that with the assistance of major grant funding,
special additions to the chorus risers will permit the singers
to stand in a horseshoe formation, providing increased performance acoustics.

In addition the grant funding has provided the purchase of
acoustic sound panels which will be placed behind the singers to better send
the choral sound out to the audience.

WMMA is most grateful to the Goldberg Charitable Foundation,
the Gibson / Woodbury Foundation
and the Clarence E. Mulford Foundation
for generous funding in support of acquiring these
important additions to the music presentations.

What is WMMA?

White Mountain Musical Arts ~

is the name of the group, begun in 2001 as a 501 ( c ) (3) organization to formally carry on the vision and dream of Dr. Clarence Sndyer, Organist Emeritus at Christ Church Episcopal, located in North Conway, when in 1989 he founded the Mt. Washington Valley’s first set of concerts dedicated to the music of J. S. Bach in an effort to fulfill “a vision of a major cultural event in New Hampshire’s North Country: an annual Bach Festival.”

The expanded mission of the WMMA is to:
“Exclusively bring public musical performances, primarily live performances of art music to the greater Mt. Washington Valley; and to provide opportunities for education in music through lectures & lecture-recitals / concerts.”

WMMA currently presents both the annual Bach Festival during the 3rd and 4th weekends of August, and a Chamber Music Concert Series with a varied schedule throughout the year.
