"Ceili" (say: KAY-lee) is a Gaelic (Irish) word that means "Party", specifically one with live musicians, dancing, general merriment, an all ages crowd.

"Coeli" is a form of the Latin word for "heaven".

Rain is that stuff that falls
from the sky. Thus Ceili Rain is a
"downpour of heavenly partiness".

May it be ever thus!!

A 'warm up'
performance by
MWV BAND

Arts Jubilee welcomes back
Bob Halligan, Jr and Ceili Rain!

Arts Jubilee audiences have welcomed Bob and the band

to our stage seven times
starting in 1999!

... from a 1999 press release:

The members of Ceili (pronounced KAY-lee) Rain are not strangers to the Mt. Washington Valley. They were “discovered” by George Cleveland of WMWV, and originally came to the valley to perform inside at the tavern at the New England Inn. An energetic and talented group, they perform to family audiences offering an up-beat and joyous concert. People leave their performances feeling really great and they have a very large and loyal following here. Arts Jubilee will be presenting them for the first time in the valley in an outdoor, festival performance and expects a record-breaking and happy audience!
