Davey

begins at 6 PM

  1. The PJO, Maine’s premier concert jazz ensemble
    will trace the lineage of
    the big band
from the 1930s to the present.
    Join them
as they play the classics from the orchestras of
    Duke Ellington,
    Stan Kenton,
    Woody Herman
    and Count Basie .

Under the direction of Dr. Chris Oberholtzer,
the 18-piece jazz ensemble
boasts
some of the finest players,
composers, and arrangers in New England.

As they feature guest vocalist Chris Humphrey,
they will be performing
a variety of traditional big band literature
as well as more contemporary original compositions
from their own library.

And, of course, the most fantastic fireworks show - - -
presented by Atlas!
